As a nation we have become obsessed with laughing at the down fall of others and placing people onto a public fora where they must provoke and incite in order for us to be shocked amused and entertained. Be it Jade Goody’s racism in the Big Brother house or the recent X-Factor parade. In the latter we have seen a whole nation target one girl, Katie Waissell in what is honestly a sickening and uncalled for act of bullying. Not only this, but a national icon and role model on Saturday joined in. I am of course talking about Cheryl Cole who brough her personal opinion into the professional environment on Saturday night with her shameless attack on Wagner in an effort to turn viewers against him. We should be ashamed of ourselves as a nation for letting this carry on boosting their viewing figures. Utterly appalling. Image: katylouisedoyle
